Chief Executive Officer – Mr. James L. Cox
A 1988 graduate of the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD, Lieutenant Colonel Jamie Cox, US Marine Corps (Retired) was raised in rural Ohio, and served as an attack helicopter pilot for 20 years where he was decorated numerous times for valor in combat throughout the world, and for wounds received during combat operations in Fallujah, Iraq. Also during his career, Jamie completed a three-year tour as an instructor pilot at the Marine Corps’ “Top Gun” school, finished two Pentagon tours, and served as a Congressional Fellow in the US House of Representatives in Washington, DC. Following retirement in 2008, Mr. Cox was highly sought and took successive positions with two Fortune 500 companies and two small businesses.
Throughout his military deployments to the Middle East, Baltics, Africa, Europe, Asia and the Caribbean, Jamie witnessed destitution and famine on a global scale. During a 2014 trip to South Dakota, he observed that same level of poverty and hunger in our own country. In January 2015, Jamie Cox joined the Board of Hill Country Family Services, with the goal of taking a more dynamic role in breaking the cycle of poverty and providing food to those in need. He assumed the duties of Chief Executive Officer on June 2, 2015.
